Her majesty said"“further reward and fulfilment by continuing to collaborate with others in a spirit of goodwill to build a peaceful and abundant future for all Commonwealth citizens”.
All Commonwealth citizens includes the UK, does'nt it ?
It is just shameful that the Government continue to withhold the annual pension uprating from a minority of pensioners living in the Commonwealth which is contrary to just about everything you have said and the members of this house should be pressing the Government far more than they have done so far.
In that spirit, I beg to move that the members of both houses get serious and read the Commonwealth Charter again which says "We are implacably opposed to discrimination of any kind"
The Charter may not be mandatory but is it meaningless ?
