The figures given in this answer (and in answer to the previous parliamentary question no. 37870) included not only the Department's own spending, but also spending by local bodies on cycling projects using sums from within their current Local Growth Fund and the Integrated Transport Block allocations.

This may well be to hide the fact that, by 2020/21, the Department's own earmarked spending on cycling programmes looks set plummet to well below £1 per person annually for people in England outside London.
