Whilst the extension to the hedge-trimming ban period is to be applauded why is there no current implementation of the ban, hedge-trimming goes on all through the summer in this area of Shropshire with no apparent concern of the EU ruling, I have raised this issue with Owen Paterson MP on a couple of occasions and have followed his advise and written to the head of Shropshire Council and was sent a copy of the EU rules as if it's me that needs clarification and not the farmers who just chop the hedges to stumps sometimes twice a year. Another piece of advice was for me to challenge the machine driver myself. Not a good idea.
