It answers the question, but both the answer and the question lack any substance and this is only a reminder that the Government does not consider the reunification of Cyprus a particular priority.
It's nice to hope that market forces will drive a settlement, but Lord Malloch-Brown ought to know that what is needed is political hard graft and courage. The new Cypriot president may have enough leeway to do this, but on the strength of this lukewarm response it looks as if the British government is not going to bust a gut to support him. No change there.
