The information commissioner made a detailed statement outlining his concerns about the proposed legislation. It seems to me that the Minister entirely fails to address these concerns in his response - most specifically - the Information commissioner's concerns regarding the amount of personal information to be stored. Also I would point out that the Minister fails to make any convincing argument that might actually justify the whole project.
