  • 1-6 September 2002, to Botswana at the invitation of the Botswana Chamber of Commerce as part of an all party visit to investigate issues of interest of the UK in Botswana. All travel, accommodation and subsistence was paid for by the Botswana Chamber of Commerce. (Registered 13 March 2003)
  • 26-29 January 2003, during a four-day visit to Pakistan and Kashmir under the auspices of the Liberal Democrat Friends of Kashmir, the Pakistan Army and Airforce supplied car and helicopter transport from Islamabad to Chotaki, Kashmir. My accommodation and meals were provided by the Pakistan Government and I paid for my airfare.(Registered 3 February 2003)
