2. Remunerated employment, office, profession etc

  • I am a member of the Scottish Bar, from which I have received fee income generated in practice in work done prior to May 1999. I ceased practice as a self-employed QC in May 1999 when I was appointed as Advocate General for Scotland.
  • I am a practising member of the English Bar.
  • For any legal work done since my appointment as Advocate General for Scotland, I receive no payment beyond my ministerial salary.

  • House in Dundee.
  • Flat in Paris jointly owned with my husband.
