Committees

In the UK Parliament, committees are groups of MPs or Peers who examine specific issues in more detail than can be done in debates.

Some committees focus on checking the government’s decisions and spending, while others investigate specific topics and proposed legislation.

Earl Howe is currently a member of the following committees:

Member, Liaison Committee (Lords)

The Liaison Committee advises the House on the resources required for select committee work and allocate resources between select committees; reviews the select committee work of the House; considers requests for Special Inquiry Committees and reports to the House with recommendations to ensure effective co-ordination between the two Houses and to consider the availability of members to serve on committees.
