Committees
In the UK Parliament, committees are groups of MPs or Peers who examine specific issues in more detail than can be done in debates.
Some committees focus on checking the government’s decisions and spending, while others investigate specific topics and proposed legislation.

The Committee scrutinises all treaties subject to ratification that are laid before Parliament under the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010 and considers other issues relating to the negotiation, conclusion and implementation of international agreements.
