As the Government announced in the Budget earlier this year, the employment allowance will be introduced in April 2014. In keeping with that announcement, the clause provides that the employment allowance provisions in clauses 1 to 7 and schedule 1 will come into force on 6 April 2014.

Clause 8 accordingly ordered to stand part of the Bill.
