Before we begin, I have a few announcements to make. First, electronic devices should be switched off or on silent. Tea and coffee are not allowed during the Committee’s sittings, but if we keep it short, I am sure we will all get out for some. The notice period for amendments is three working days. Starred amendments—those that have not been tabled in accordance with the notice provisions—will not normally be called.
