Are the probation boards concerned that there may be cases where a person has started off in front of the court and then absented himself for one reason or another? Irrespective of the reason why the person is not there, there will be no opportunity to prepare probation advice and pre-sentence reports for the sentencing bench. Is this a concern that you have?
