As I was saying, for a number of years I worked both in a daytime job, and served as a part-time member of the Royal Irish Regiment. That meant that I was going home at 6 o’clock to grab something to eat before reporting for duty at 6.30 pm, and then working from 6.30 pm to 3 o’clock in the morning. Then I was going home to get up at 7 o’clock the next day to go to work again. There were many men working with me who were doing the same thing.
