5. Gifts, benefits and hospitality (UK)
My wife receives royalties from a book "The Goldfish Bowl: Married to the Prime Minister 1955-1997" (2004, Chatto & Windus) which makes reference to her life in No 10 Downing Street.
7. Overseas benefits and gifts
August 2006, accompanied by my family I spent summer holidays at a private villa in Barbados owned by Sir Cliff Richard. I have made charitable donations in lieu of the cost of this accommodation. I paid for all other expenses including flights. (Registered 21 September 2006)
26 December 2006-5 January 2007, accompanied by my family, I rented the residence of Robin Gibb for a holiday in Florida. This was a private commercial agreement made through Mr Gibb's manager. I met the cost of all flights. My wife and I were upgraded by British Airways on the flight to Miami and I was upgraded by British Airways on my return flight from Miami. (Registered 8 January 2007)
