Committees

In the UK Parliament, committees are groups of MPs or Peers who examine specific issues in more detail than can be done in debates.

Some committees focus on checking the government’s decisions and spending, while others investigate specific topics and proposed legislation.

Member, Education Committee

The Education Committee scrutinises the work of the Department for Education, covering children’s social care, schools, colleges, the early years and higher education.
