The Government is actively exploring ways to improve voter registration, as per its manifesto commitment. The fact that an estimated eight million eligible electors are missing from the register, or incorrectly registered, is totally unacceptable. The Government intends to tackle this, and appropriate assessments will be made as policy develops.
Tackling anti-social behaviour is a top priority for this Government, and a key part of our Safer Streets Mission. We understand that anti-social behaviour causes great harm and misery to our communities, and, if left unchecked, can lead to more serious offending. MHCLG offices in Hemel Hempstead, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield, and Wolverhampton do not currently have enough space for people to meet 60% attendance. Instead, people in these offices are expected to attend for 40% of their working time over a 3-month period.
