I was somewhat surprised by the intervention by the hon. Member for Fife, West (Mr. William Hamilton) who has admitted that he is a keen supporter of European unity. Of course, no one agrees on all these matters but they are matters which could be debated and sorted out in due course. I appreciate that much is often heard from outside the House about the right and wrong ways of dealing with hon. Members' expenses.
