The hon. Member has referred to a very distinguished constituent of mine who was formerly Minister of Agriculture. I can assure the hon. Member that that gentleman was not only held in the highest regard by the farming community in the days when he was Minister, but is still held in the highest regard by the farming community.
Can my right hon. Friend say what rebuilding of these barracks was done under the previous Administration?
Notwithstanding the fact that there are carrots and carrots, will my right hon. Friend bear in mind that any steps which he takes to protect British horticulture will always receive the warmest support from this side of the House?

May we take it that this economy diet will be advocated in the Labour Party's statement of policy?
Will my hon. Friend consider whether it might not be advisable for these day nurseries to be run and paid for by district and borough councils and not by county councils as they are now?
asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will make a statement about the marriage and separation allowances of officers serving in the Middle and Far East, a review of which he announced on 22nd July last.
As my right hon. Friend said on 22nd July last that he recognised that there were anomalies in connection with these allowances, is it possible for him to say when he expects to be able to make a statement about his review?
