43. asked the Attorney-General the number of magistrates for the county of Berkshire other than borough magistrates; how many of them are women; why there has been failure to appoint any women to the Bench since the present Government came into office; and why there should be such a wide difference between the number of men and women on the Bench in this county?
Will the Attorney-General say whether, in making further appointments for the county of Berkshire, the Lord Chancellor will take steps to appoint more women; and does he think it right and proper that only two women should be on the Bench for Berkshire?
39. asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will arrange that agricultural workers who have been in regular employ for three years shall have facilities for free education in agricultural colleges, and that those showing special knowledge and proficiency shall have such credit facilities as will enable them to start as small-holders?
Can the right hon. Gentleman indicate any cases in which the Agricultural Credits Act has been used to benefit the agricultural workers?

Can the Minister imagine that it can take a fortnight to make inquiries of this kind? Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that this man has been without unemployment pay for the last two months?
Does the right hon. Gentleman appreciate the fact that he had a letter addressed to him on the 25th July by a man who was unemployed, and cannot he give an answer within a fortnight to that letter?
