In the UK Parliament, committees are groups of MPs or Peers who examine specific issues in more detail than can be done in debates.
Some committees focus on checking the government’s decisions and spending, while others investigate specific topics and proposed legislation.

The Procedure Committee considers the practice and procedure of the House in the conduct of its public business.
It is appointed under Standing Order No.

The R&R Programme Board has day to day oversight, and is responsible for making critical strategic choices and recommendations, relating to the restoration and renewal of the Palace of Westminster to the R&R Client Board.
The Modernisation Committee is a cross-party committee of MPs that considers reforms to House of Commons procedures, standards, and working practices.
The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee (PACAC) is appointed by the House of Commons to examine: constitutional issues; the quality and standards of administration provided by Civil Service departments; and the reports of the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO).

All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal cross-party groups made up of MPs and Peers who share an interest in a particular country or subject.
