Member, Speaker's Conference (2024) Committee

The Speaker’s Conference was established on 14 October 2024 and will consider the factors influencing the threat level against candidates and MPs and the effectiveness of the response to such threats.

It will make recommendations about arrangements necessary to secure free and fair elections and the appropriate protection of candidates at future UK-wide parliamentary elections and of elected representatives thereafter.

It has 15 members, including Mr Speaker in the Chair.

Member, Committee of Selection

The Committee of Selection comprises nine Members.

It was established by motions agreed by the House on Wednesday 15 January 2020.

It is established to nominate Members to serve on General or Select Committees of the House of Commons.

Member, Restoration and Renewal Programme Board Committee

The R&R Programme Board has day to day oversight, and is responsible for making critical strategic choices and recommendations, relating to the restoration and renewal of the Palace of Westminster to the R&R Client Board.
