Mr McGuigan asked the First Minister and deputy First Minister whether they will join him in expressing condolences to Sarah Montgomery's family, who are undoubtedly experiencing unimaginable pain, given that she was another young woman, who was also a mother and a daughter, who had her life brutally stolen from her this week. I thank the First Minister for her response. I concur that we need to do much better on all the issues. When it comes to actions, the Executive Office oversees the local change fund, which supports community networks in playing their part in preventing harm, abuse and violence against women and girls. Is the First Minister able to provide an update on the local change fund?
I welcome the opportunity to confirm, as the Minister said, the Health Committee's support for the motion. The Rare Cancers Bill will introduce measures intended to encourage more research into rare cancers. Obviously, that is to be welcomed. Rare cancers, as has been pointed out, are defined as cancers that affect fewer than one in 2,000 people, and they account for around 20% of cancer...
