The Clerk of the Parliaments announced the result of the Conservative by-election to elect three hereditary Peers in place of the Earl of Selborne, Lord Denham and Lord Selsdon. Thirty-six Lords submitted valid ballots. A notice detailing the results is in the Printed Paper Office and online. The successful candidates were Lord Sandhurst, the Earl of Leicester and Lord Altrincham.

The Clerk of the Parliaments also announced the result of the whole-House by-election to elect a hereditary Peer in place of the Countess of Mar. Three hundred and seventeen Lords submitted valid ballots. A notice detailing the results is in the Printed Paper Office and online. The successful candidate was Lord Londesborough.
