My Lords, we do not agree with that figure. The accusation is based on the latest full-year statistical first release for 2006-07, and refers to the reduction in places across all Learning And Skills Council-funded further education provision for over-19s. This is not just about informal learning. With our funding, we are maintaining our commitment. Our moral for adult learning is "Quality, not quantity".
