Correction

The report of Lord McKenzie of Luton's speech at col. 1363 of Hansard for 27/10/08 should have started as follows:

"My Lords, we do not see that as necessary. I have tried to give a firm commitment on the record. If there are ways in which the noble Baroness thinks that we can strengthen that commitment and put it on the record, I will be happy to do so. We have to accept that we are all dealing in good faith on this, but we need flexibility if we are to be most helpful to what the noble Baroness seeks. To put something rigid in place may not fit her purpose".
