My Lords, immediately after the business statement and the First Reading of the Education Bill, my noble friend Lord Rooker will, with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement that is being made in another place on the nationality, asylum and immigration White Paper.

At a convenient moment after 7 p.m., my noble and learned friend Lord Falconer of Thoroton will, with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement that is being made in another place on London Underground and the modernisation.

My Lords, we are accustomed to having Statements delayed by unforeseen events, but it appears that the events that delay this Statement are foreseen. Can the noble Lord tell the House what those circumstances are?

My Lords, discussions are going on, and a further report is required. That means that the Statement cannot be made in the House of Commons before 7 p.m.
