In January 2020 TfL announced that “Further changes are planned to improve the service with new world-leading video ticket machine technology currently being trialled at a number of stations”. Can you provide an update on these changes and what the results of the trial were?

The result of the pilot for the Video Link system was that the system was well received by those who used it, but take-up was lower than anticipated. The pilot ended in March 2020 just as the first lockdown started, and the system has remained offline since that time.  The future of this scheme is yet to be confirmed.
