What discussions, if any, have you had with the Health and Safety Executive regarding extending the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations to include road related injuries?

The issue of road related injuries being exempt from the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) is a long-standing issue at a national level, as noted in the 2018 Vision Zero Action Plan. Transport for London (TfL) met with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to discuss this issue among others in 2021. I hope that this shortfall can be partially met by the creation of the new Road Collision Investigation Branch (RCIB), as we expressed in our response to the Government’s consultation late last year. Notwithstanding this, I believe that road injuries sustained as a result of vehicles driving for work should be covered by RIDDOR reporting requirements.
