To ensure that the number of zero emission capable taxis increases throughout 2021, will you consider using some of the Mayor’s Air Quality Fund to provide reduced or free electric charging for these vehicles for a limited time period? This would help offset the loan payments drivers have had to pay whilst not being able to work in the pandemic.

The total value of the Mayor’s Air Quality Fund is £22m. As you are aware, the fund has been divided into rounds over a number of years and is now in the second year of the third and final round, with £19.2m allocated to boroughs to date and the remaining £1.8m to be provided by 31st March 2022.
