How many images are in the Metropolitan Police Facial Recognition Database and for what purpose is this data being held?

The Metropolitan Police Service do not have a Facial Recognition Database. A bespoke watchlist of wanted individuals is created for each deployment in line with the MPS operating principles which can be found here: https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/facial-recognition/live-facial-recognition/.
