What further improvements to air quality in Wandsworth do you expect, when the ULEZ is expanded to the north and south circulars in 2021?

As a result of the tightening of the Low Emission Zone standard for heavy vehicles in October 2020 and expanding the Ultra Low Emission Zone to the north and south circulars in October 2021, there is forecast to be a 27 per cent reduction in harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) from road transport in Wandsworth. There is also forecast to be a 20 per cent reduction in particulate matter (PM2.5) from vehicle exhausts. It is estimated that only 5 per cent of all road links within Wandsworth will still exceed the NO2 annual mean Limit Value of 40ug/m3 in 2021.
