City Hall does not have any direct powers or responsibility for nurse recruitment and retention. I understand that work is underway at NHS England and NHS Improvement (London Region) and Health Education England to establish the London People Board that will oversee the work to recruit and retain more nurses in London. As I said in response to Mayor's Question 2020/0614 I will request an update from Sir David Sloman our next quarterly meeting.
