To ask the Mayor how many graduates have so far been recruited by the Metropolitan Police for entry to its ‘fast-track’ programme at inspector level?

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) internal fast-track scheme does not require officers to have a level 6 qualification (e.g. degree).

However, there is an external recruitment pathway known as the ‘Direct Entry Inspector’ programme that does require a degree level qualification.

Since 2014, the MPS has recruited 12 Direct Entry Inspectors.
