On 17 August 2023, I received £75,000 representing the first of four instalments of a book advance from Pan Macmillan (a publishing firm of Cromwell Place, Hampshire International Business Park, Lime Tree Way, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 8YJ). I estimate that work on the book will account for around 10-15 hours per week. From 11 August 2025 I have undertaken a number of promotional activities in relation to the publication of a book written by me. Since April 2023 I have been officiating local football matches in Orkney for fixtures organised by the Orkney Amateur Football Association (of Kinnmohr, Holm, Orkney, Scotland, KW17 2SD). I referee between 2 and 3 matches per month in the period between April and August each year. I have also undertaken officiating at Orkney FC matches un the North Caledonian League and inter-country fixtures. I have received match fees of between £25 and £50 and total payments received are between £501 and £1,000. I received remuneration of between £60,001 and £65,000 per annum and spent approximately 3 days per month on the role until my departure, on 18 June 2021. Until 15 March 2024 I worked as a land agent at Peter Graham & Associates, Land Agency Business (of New Elgin Road, Elgin, IV30 6BA) earning £52,500 per annum for working 5 days per week. I will sporadically offer unpaid support over next few months in 2024. 🔗
I am a sole trader and owner of Hillfords Farm, of Moray, a small sheep and arable farm. I expect to spend in the region of an average of 10 hours a week on this role. In 2022/23 I received £2,628 income from this farm. I also receive £3,500 from single farm payment and £300 from the Less Favoured Area Support Scheme (LFASS) per annum in connection with operation of my farm. 🔗
