A majority of MPs agreed and voted to increase the Married Women’s Reduced Rate of primary Class 1 National Insurance Contributions by 1.25%, in-line with increases to other National Insurance rates which had been made to raise the Health and Social Care Levy, a ring-fenced additional tax to support UK health and social care bodies.
