I hear what Emma Little Pengelly says, and I have much agreement with her, but at some point the patience of the population is going to run out about the “He said, she said, I will, he won’t” and so on. Somebody is going to have to knock heads together or make some progress, and I have every faith in my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State and the Ministers, my hon. Friend Mr Walker and my right hon. Friend Mr Hurd, to drive that forward—with the goodwill of the main parties, knowing full well that they are now in the last-chance saloon.
