Yes, that is absolutely fair and reasonable. I did not intervene at the time, as the hon. Gentleman will know. Mr Francois felt extremely strongly and expressed himself with force, and I respect the right hon. Gentleman’s sincerity and integrity—I make no bones about that; I do—but moderation in the use of language and the importance of trying to keep the temperature down can hardly be overstated. I think Mr Sheerman has served a useful purpose today, of which we can all take note.
