A majority of MPs voted to remove the Motor Insurers Bureau's role in relation to compensation payments involving UK residents injured in road traffic incidents in the European Economic Area, and European Economic Area residents injured in the UK as well as to update motor insurance law so it functions on the UK's withdrawal from the EU.
That the draft Motor Vehicles (Compulsory Insurance) (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, which were laid before this House on 24 January, be approved.
