When out on patrol with my local police, I have seen how the reasonable use of stop and search helps them to target drugs and disrupt and the gangs, and has led to a drop in serious harmful violence, so I fully support it. Will the Minister look again at extending the powers so that “smelling cannabis” could be reasonable grounds for a stop and search?
