First, of course we send our deep condolences to the families and friends of all those students in the hon. Lady’s constituency who have died as a result of contracting meningitis. The point she raises about raising awareness of meningitis is a very valuable one, and it is something that we do need to continue to do. Very often, decisions are taken by the Government, such as on the vaccination that is already in place, and it is very easy to think that that is a job done, but, actually, we need to continue to look to see how we can ensure that we do not see these deaths from meningitis in the future.
