Members will note that I have, unusually, selected some starred amendments. I have done so in the circumstances applying to this particular Bill—John Pugh, following his point of order on this matter, will be conversant with the issues—because the deadline for tabling amendments had already passed when today’s business was announced last week. In those circumstances, it seemed to me sensible and helpful to the House to proceed in this way.
