Perhaps the Prime Minster could could clarify if his recent statement to business, urging them to provide a pay rise for their hard working staff extends to the many thousands of Civil Servants whose standard of living has dropped under this government.

Could he also clarify why the Ministry of Defence are still claiming, despite evidence to the contrary, that the terms of reference they set for the Medal review were in accordance with the Coalition’s Programme for Government and can he explain as to why a case that has been proved to be so strong for recognition of millions of this Nation’s veterans, can be turned down on what appears to be the false calculations of cost and numbers by the MoD? Even a former Armed Forces Minister, Sir Nick Harvey says the MoD have got it wrong?. Why is the call for greater transparency that they and Sir John Holmes have openly embraced been ignored and a two year medal review become discredited?

Will he now make a firm commitment to ensure the provision of a National Defence Medal for all eligible ex-servicemen within the next 2 year?
