Surely the defence against the scenario that the hon. Gentleman presents is the fact that the threshold, as suggested in the amendments of Zac Goldsmith, would be 20% of the electorate, and that people would physically have to visit the town hall and put their name to a recall petition. [Interruption.] Well, it would be 20% to initiate the final recall mechanism for a recall by-election. In my constituency, that would be more than 11,000 people. If 11,000 people went to the town hall in Ammanford and wanted my recall, I would resign myself.
