Crawley court house in my constituency deals with a large number of cases, including those emanating from Gatwick airport. Will the Minister agree to meet local magistrates, my local authority and me to see whether the court house could be part of a major town centre redevelopment that is shortly to get under way?

I trust that the funding of this service should be on the agenda thus hopefully it will not become a burden to the Crawley Taxpayer, a levy on Gatwick Airport to provide the funding would appear to be the way to go!

Neil, any funding of a rebuilt courthouse for Crawley would likely be a mixture of national (MoJ) funding and developer contributions associated with the Town Centre North re-development plans. Nothing definite though, just trying to explore ideas to replace this outdated facility. Henry Smith MP (Crawley)
