Is it not quite remarkable that Governments of the left, right and centre have adopted our policy of taking over banks and recapitalising them? We are fixing not only our own roof here in Britain, but roofs around the world.

As the Wolf says in Pulp Fiction, "Lets not start sucking each others d***s just yet". There is a long way to go in this crisis and if Labour's solution doesn't work, or has unintended and dire consequences, they could live to regret all this premature high-fiveing.

As the Keynesian method has only been tried once, and it failed the USA that time, does the PM have a 'Plan B' ?
