It is true that the fish industry is extremely important to that territory, but I have had no recent discussions on the matter. It was not raised at the Overseas Territories Consultative Council. However, I will look into it further for the hon. Gentleman.

Do like the Conservatives who fought for the Falklands then sold all the fishing rights to one and all including Japan!
And when Britain joined the EEC they never put any checks or balances for the fishing industry and now with have fisheries collapsing and fishermen feeding of the scraps that are left.
