That this House takes note of European Community Documents Nos. 9372/96, the draft general budget of the European Communities for 1997, SEC(96)1677, the Letter of Amendment No. 1 to the preliminary draft budget of the European Communities for 1997, PE252.724, the European Parliament's resolution on amendments and proposed modifications to the draft general budget of the European Communities for 1997, 11689/96 and 11690/96 on the Council's Decisions on the European Parliament's proposed amendments and modifications to the draft general budget of the European Communities for 1997, and the unnumbered explanatory Memorandum submitted by HM Treasury on 15th November relating to the Letter of Amendment No. 2 to the draft general budget of the European Communities for 1997; and supports the Government's efforts to maintain budget discipline in the Community.—[Mr. McLoughlin.]Question agreed to.
