Ordered,That provision affecting the charges to income tax, corporation tax and capital gains tax may be made about the interest paid on gilt-edged securities and about cases in which, where gilt-edged or other securities are transferred from one person to another, there is—

  1. (a) a contract or arrangement under which a person makes a payment which is, or is treated as, representative of amounts paid or payable in respect of the securities transferred; or
  2. (b) a contract or arrangement under which the transferee is or may be required to transfer securities, or benefits accruing from the redemption of securities, to the transferor, to his nominee or to a person connected with the transferor.—[Dr. Liam Fox.]
