Of course, I appreciate the sympathy with which the Minister of State approaches the issue. I remain disappointed that she did not feel able to go that little bit further tonight and make a change in the Bill. We shall continue to press the Government on this matter because it remains an outstanding anomaly within the system. Although perhaps it does not act against the interests of many people, for those who are affected it means a lot. We shall continue to press the Government on the matter. We look forward to a specific proposal within the next few months that the Government will introduce measures to deal with this anomaly. In that hope, I beg to ask leave to withdraw the motion.
