The Museums and Galleries Commission review of museums and related services in Northern Ireland was issued on 18 October; interested parties have been invited to submit comments by the end of December 1983, and in the light of the views expressed and the availability of resources, decisions will then be taken on implementation.

Does the Minister agree that the report makes a vitally important point when it argues that the development of the museums would not only create direct employment but would encourage and attract industry to the Province? Does the Minister agree that he should make available the funds necessary for the developments proposed?

That is but one of several important points that are made in the report. I am now waiting for comments and I look forward to receiving them. Then we can move to decisions.
